Editor’s remark:
The Chinese regime has gradually moved away from mass extermination policies, yet it continues to imprison and torture dissidents and harrass their families. In China, where everything from banking to transport is directly under state control, these translates into being forbiden from employment, regular and arbitrary detainment, state-sponsored violence, and forced exile.
You should be CONCERNED about China regardless of your personal connection or the lack thereof with China. China’s ambition is to dominate the world. The Chinese president Xi Jinping has voiced his passion for ‘the common fate of humanity’ more than 100 times. In more accurate terms, he is passionate about ‘the common fate of humanity under his eternal rule’. You can find out more about those global ambitions in this article.
