How Xivilians celebrate the Lunar New Year?


Xivilians cherish the Lunar New Year as an occasion to celebrate our devotion and love to His Majesty the Pooh (HMTPooh). In addition to the conventional family reunion dinner and red packets for children, we also have a number of unique traditions.
1. Xirework
Unlike secular families, we do not detonate fireworks to embrace the coming of the new year. Instead, we detonate Xi work.

Unlike traditional fireworks, which explode to produce a myriad of geometrical patterns, Xireworks detonates to produce the image of HMTPooh. As Xivilians believe that HMTPooh is the most elegant and graceful creature on Earth, we seek to maximize our opprunities to witness HMTPooh's divine image.
2. New Year's Prayer to His Majesty the Pooh
Before our family reunion dinner, we sit down together for a minute of silent reflection of our experience in the past year, before reciting a prayer of gratitude to HMTPooh. A typical prayer goes like this:
3. the New Year's Hymn
All Xivilians aged 3 and up will stay up until midnight to sing the New Year's Hymn to HMTPooh. The hymn must begin within the first 3 1/2 seconds of the new year, to ensure that the Hymn is the first song sung in the new year across the world. The hymn goes as follows:
